Bandolero sells: A closing chapter
We sold the #71 Bandolero to Mike Hurdle, for use by one of his sons. It is time to close the chapter
on the Bandolero and move up. We learned a lot in the last three years and we have enjoyed every minute of it. We like to
thank 7-eleven Bill Lambert or his gratious and dedicated support. We hope we will enjoy his support in our next endeavour...the
Legend.
Thsi will be the last entry in this page, as it will be archived, and a new one started for the Legend.
Thanks to all who helped us, we appreciate all you have done for us...thank you
Kyle and Peter Huender Team 71
September 2004,
Chelberg engine helps, but too little to late.
The great gift from the Chelberg to let us use their engine really helped keep Kyles spirits up for
the remiander of the season. He ran very well in some races, and middle of the pack in some. Tech was taken over by IMCA Randy,
and taking the vital parts apart several times may have been the difference between finetuning.
Anyway we finished the season, and came fourth in the Bullring points season. It was obvious that
our engines we used this year had too many races on them, and really slowed down the car.

Chelberg offers engine!
In one of the greatest gestures Rick Chelberg offered a band aid for the faiing season of the 71
team. The chelberg's in a close race for the championship but offered their back up engine so Kyle can finish the season
battling instead of coasting to the finale.
We installed the engine on Saturday morning before the National Qualifier race and found the car
a full second faster. The Chelbergs helped us out a lot, and this is we are most appreciative for their generous offer.
August 14th 2004
BACK UP ENGINE fails also!
Hoping that the a poor engine that we had taken out of the car earlier in the year would carry
us to the end of the season, we are finding ourselves in a predicament as the engine is loosing oil from an internal seal.
We like to thank our competitors, several have offered us their back up engines, which is a true
sign of how wonderful this series is.
Five saturday races remain, the 71 team has already decided not to run the Friday night races anymore.
The next race will be a National Qualifier which should bring us the largest field of Bandos this
year.

BLOWN ENGINE!!!
Well hoping for a better end to the season, we actually had to settle for another set back. We had
been working on some small set up changes, but in the second practice the engine froze on the 71 bandolero. The car was towed
in and the weekend called as the engine did not refire.
We are changing the engine for next week and hope the problems are behind us, on a less than spectacular
season.

Vacation time; Season resumes June 30th
the Bandoleros are off for a month as the Bullring is taking a well deserved break from the desert
heat.
When temperatures are in the 100+ outisde the car, the heat is the car is quite unbearable. "We hope
that the second half of the season starting july 30th with the fridaynight INEX race will turn things around. We have had
a lousy seson so far, and just have a hard time catching the speed increase that most cars have found this season, compared
to last year.We hope we can improve our position at least one spot, but the points difference has grown quite a bit after
some really bad finishes in the last Bullring events."
8 Races remaining for the Bullring championship:
July 31st.
August 7,14,21, 28.
September 4, 11, 18
Fridaynights races are for National INEX championship.

Kyle ads Win in Tucson Arizona Exhibition Race!
LVRacing 71 Motorsports took the 71 Bandolero to Tucson on June 26th for an exhibition race. The
Bandolero cars currently do not use any of the Arizona tracks, and Tucson offered a chance for the Bandos to show off what
they can do. The field just consisted of three cars, two drivers from Phoenix Cassie Gannis and Jennifer Link, and Kyle Huender
from Vegas. The 8 and half hour trip south paid off with a win in the main for Kyle, a former Tucson resident, in front of
his family and friends, and several thousand race fans.
Jennifer Link won the heat race, while Cassie Gannis struggled with car problems.Tucson Raceway Park
will commit to placing the Bandoleros on the race ticket if enough cars commit. After the race the Bandoleros were featured
behind the grandstands and the young drivers were glamoured with fans seeking autographs and information.

Kyle OK, Legend demolished!
Kyle is Ok somewhat sore, and bruised, but all the safety equipment did their job well as Kyle plowed
head on into the turn two outside retaining wall after his tire hit the back of James Galza's Legend.
Kyle was driving his Legend in a Practice session, driving the top of the track till more comfortable
and out of the way of traffic, when coming out of turn two, he cam down or Galza came up and just knocked against Kyle left
front tire, knocking the steering wheel in the opposite direction. The 71 Legend instantly hit the wall head on, totally demolishing
the front end, cracking the engine, and pushing the driveshaft into the drivers cabin. Even the rear shocks snapped, and swaybar
was bend as well. TheChassis is bend. basically the car is a total loss, only the fiverglass body can be saved and repaired.
The car cannot not be fixed for any reasonable price that is less than the purchase price.
However all the safety gear performed a remarkable job, and kept Kyle safe, and that is the most
important thing, however it will be a little longer before Kyle will be moving up into Legends, as we do not have a car.

Things are getting better for the 71 team!
Maybe it is the new paint scheme, maybe the engine replacement after loosing last year's workhorse.
But things are starting to look up. The 71 team posted two minor victories, and has been seen driving up front a bit.
We won a friday night race on May 21st and took a second win in the Heat on May 29. But we have also
seen the Kyle leading many laps in the last few weeks. Although we are still not in the same league as the Murphy's and Wagner
we are improving, and certainly are hoping for one more saturday win in the Bando before the season is over.

New Colors for the 71 car!
It's that time again for the annual change of color. With gracious support of our sponsor 7-Eleven
at Craig Road and Las vegas Boulvard we were able to get a new fiberglass body, first one for the 71 car, and a new paint
job, and decals from RC racing decals.
The new paint scheme debuted on May 14th 2004, and gave Kyle a second place finish, the following
day a head to head finish for fifth.
We definitely look fast.

Season has slow start for Kyle!
As if by miracle all other cars started gaining speed, Kyle seems to have lost some. In a season
that could have made Kyle once more a championship contender instead is becoming a struggle. The car runs alright, but his
times compared to the front runners are quite a bit slower, yet we are running times equal to last year and kept finishing
second...why?
It seems the other cars have been able to find a way to get the lap times in the mid to high 20 seconds,
while we are still in the low to mid 21 seconds.
Then our engine started to develop problems, losing oil, and power, we switched to a back up, and
after two weekends struggling we were able to get it running decently, even being competetive.
However we are to far back in the points to have a chance. Kyle will be switching to Legends soon.
April 17th 2004
Bullring season 2004 begins!
Kyle's final season in the Bandolero cars is upon us, and the Bullring season has commenced. Kyle
will be racing practically every weekend, see the schedule for dates. He will be in the Bandos on Saturdays, and an occasional
friday to get the maximum points needed to compete in the INEX national point system. We are expecting a lot of new drivers
but only one showed up for the season opener, and that was John Davis Jr. in Kyle ol' back up car, the one he drove in his
first year.He will be driving number 38, and the paintjob looks remarkably like that of Super Late Model driver Scottie Gafforini.
See John's dad is part of Scottie's crew.
We also saw the return of the Murphy brothers from California in the opener. Austin is looking for
the national championship, and won the Saturday night race. Only Jeremiah Wagner in the 77 and brother broc Murphy had any
speed for Austin. Kyle finished fourth. We also saw Gina yentes, and brother Chris Yentes from California and returning were
Connor Kassik and Sarah Chelberg. Missing was Brandon Oxborrow, besides the new drivers some of whom come from different
states and northern Nevada.
Without a doubt the racing action was hot, and the field will vary from race to race.
April 12th 2004
Kyle takes third place in championship!!
Kyle did not let a broken wrist stop him from participating in the final of the Silver State Road
Course Championship. Although taking right turns was difficult he took several third place finishes in the Heats and Mains
of April 10th and 11th, 2004, and at one point had a chance for taking second as only four points divided him from the spot
held by Jeremiah Wagner. "We had to gear the car down so we could get out of the corners easier, and that really hurt us on
the long back and front stretch. But it was the only way we could power down and up to get Kyle throught he right hand turns".
In the end Kyle took third place in the championship which consisted of ten races. Alex Kennedy of
New Mexico won the championship, followed by Jeremiah Wagner, Kyle and Colin Flynn in 4th. Nikki Booth finished Fifth.

7-ELEVEN back for a third year!
Bill Lambert of 7-Eleven at Craig road and Las Vegas Boulevard will be the primary sponsor for a
third year on the #71 Bandolero. Bill Lambert has shown pesonal interest in the development of the team almost since its inception,
and has been very vocal in Kyle success. In the past the car has featured different paintschemes this year we will do
something completely new that will tie in with the 7-eleven color scheme. Several options will be presented to the sponsor,
and he will make a decision. "We are extremely pleased that 7-Eleven is able to help us out again" said the LVracing 71 team,
"We are still looking for a secondary sponsor. The season is getting longer every year, and the equipment is showing its age."
March 20 2004
Kyle fractures wrist
With everything we do to protect the driver when he gets into a race car, we do not always protect
when we go play outside. Kyle fell while skating, and used his hand as a bumper, causing a small fracture in his wrist. He
will be in a cast for up to a month playing havoc with the beginning of the Bullring season (April 17th), as well as the finale
of the road course season (April 10-11th). Not sure yet if he will be able to drive with the injury, until a orthopedic doctor
can take a look at the X-Rays and a permanent cast will be created.
Kyle was also planning to take a driving class with 600 racing for the Legend the first week in April.
It is estimated fractures take four to six weeks to heal.
March 2004
Weekend #4 in the road course season, and we had a decent weekend, and were finally able to get some
speed that was comparable to the front runners. Unfortunately it was the last weekend at the inside road course, now on to
the outside course for the last weekend of racing April 10th and 11th.
The wekend gave us a fifth place finish on Saturday and a 2nd place finish on Sunday after #77 Jeremiah
Wagner got Disqualified after failing to go to tech immediately after the race.We are now tied for Third with Colin Flynn
in the championship, last year Kyle tied with Colin for fourth.
In the coming weeks we are cleaning the car up for the Bullring, changing the set up, with help of
Spencer Clark, The Bullring season starts on April 16th.
Also on April 3rd Kyle will be taking his driving class for the Legend.
We also are searching for sponsors to help us through 2004.
February 2004,
Road
course championship, and 2004 season preview.
Well three weekends into the road Course
championship and we are in fourth place. We have been looking for speed, and not having been to succesfull at it. Meanwhile
there are a few cars that just are rockets on the track, beating everyone by several seconds. It has not helped that 600 racing
has been slow in getting gears and clutch hubs sizes that were required for speed on the road course. But none the less as
we gained some speed on the third weekend, the front runner did as well. We are
not completely sure we will enter all 10 races.
This brings us to the preview of 2004.
We have sold one of the Bandoleros and purchased a Legend, Kyle will start driving the legend on Friday night practices, and
will not compete in the INEX National points season by racing the Bandolero Friday and Saturday. Fridays we will practice
in the Legend to get him seat time, and Saturdays we will race for the Bullring championship points. We may supplement with
several Friday night features to get the full 25 races for INEX, but are not sure yet. Kyle
will take the Legend driving course in March. The Bullring season will swing into action the end of April.
November 2003
The off season..,hardly off!
The off season, the downtime between races, between seasons, yet not all is quite in the garage.
The off season is the perfect time, to take things off the car, clean an lubricate, and check the
car for wear and tear. Of course Kyle's car sustained heavy damage in one of the last races, and those things needed to be
fixed. The good thing is that we had more time than during the racing season to fix these repairs.
We also decided that we did not need the back up car, if we were not seriously race for the championship
in 2004. Kyle will be switching to Legends somewhere during the season, however we hope to race all the saturday night races
in the Bandolero, but not focus on the championship unless it is a tight race. The bandolero field in 2004 should see a significant
increase in participants.
Kyle will begin practicing in the Legend on Friday nights after completing a class, and celebrating
his 14th birthday, were taking it one step at a time, unfortunately our trailer can only haul one car at a time.
Road course season starts next month on the 13 and 14th of December, the car has been set up for
that, and we hope to have a good season in that. There will be 10 races, two each month till April.
Kyle earns a hard fighting 2nd.
We are so proud with Kyle archievements last season. He came in second in points for the championships,
largely due to some unfortunate mechanical failures, and crashes that were unavoidable. We finished 18th in national points
out of some 120 cars, and second in the points for state championship. Congratulations Kyle you did a great job.
Hard Crash causes $1,500 in damage to #71.
With the announcement of a Nationals qualifier on Saturday Septemeber 13, some cars are making a
warm up appearance at the Bullring. In Friday Main and Saturday's heat things looked like the regular 1 and 2 of Mawhinney
and Kyle were OK, as the visitors struggled, with spins, and mechanical problems.
The invert for the main set up the trouble, with Alex Kennedy from New Mexico up front, and spinning
the car on the first lap, clipping Mawhinney, and Kyle and Sarah Cleberg trying to make it through.Sarah does, Kyle has no
where to go, slides in the dirt on the top of the track and slams sideways into Mawhinney.
Kyle is taken in the ambulance but chacks out OK, Mawhinney blacked out for a second, but is OK as
well. However the cars, especially Kyle's car is bend and broken, and upon inspection will need a new chassis, and parts up
to $1,500 dollars.
One more race left in the season for the Bullring points, which is also the National qualifier for
double INEX points. Kyle will be driving his back up car.
Sarah Chelberg who was 18 points behind Kyle in Third won the race, and cut Kyle's lead to only 7
points....this will be a tight points race.
What's for the last three events?
This weekend (august 29-30) was the beginning of the final stretch of three weekends, Kyle finished
second in all three events, while Mawhinney won all three races. Both cars seem to run fast and enjoy the cooling trend that's
ahead. Mawhinney ran a 20.48 in practice, quite fast with the restrictor plate racing.
Two more weekends left for the Bandoleros, and the final race will be a National qualifier, which
should bring some cars from out of state to challenge the local drivers, and whatever trouble that may bring.
$1 part cost #71 Bandolero
a chance at the Bullring Championship.
With an ever charging Jonathan Mawhinney
in the #12 Bandolero closing in the gap in the championship points race for the Bandolero Division at the 3/8-mile oval at
the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kyle Huenders 16 point lead crumbled away this weekend as he lost a $1 part that held his drive
chain together. The Master link came undone while lined up to go onto the track. There was not enough time to get the chain
back on before the race got green, said Kyle Huender driver of the #71 7-Eleven sponsored Bandolero. "The last two weeks really
hurt us too, due to several accidents, and now a master link takes us out, all in all a bad three weeks for the 71 team, said
Kyles dad.
With 7 Saturday night race wins, Jonathan
Mawhinney seems unstoppable, and Sarah Chelberg car seems to be better than before her car flipping on August 2nd.
The track gave Kyle last place points for being in the chute, and he keeps his lead but closing the chase. Mawhinney challenged
the tracks decision and requested points for the June 14th race where the car failed to start while in the race line up. The
71- team stands behind the 12 team, and hopes that the track will award Mawhinney these points.
After the August 30, 2003 race, the
Officials at the Bullring granted Jonathan Mawhinney the points for the June 14th race. He received 40 points, and currently
has become the leader witha 37 point lead over Kyle.
Crash
claims new paint job
For Photos
visit Kyle's Photo page
It
seems always to happen that way, you clean something, or in our case repaint the car with a clean new look, and something
happens. Well for the #71 team we took one of the hardest and most frightening hits.
The
weekend of August 1 and 2nd was filled with wrecks, two involving Kyle. On Friday Connor Kassik spun in front of
the field, Jonathan Mawhinney went high, and Kyle came low, but was unable to clear Kassik, as his rear wheel hit the #26
car. We had a bend axle, but continued the race, and claimed the 2nd spot. Figuring the car was OK for Saturday
we did not fix the axle, but did fix some small body damage.
The
heat was all good, we had some trouble getting by some of the competitors as they tried to keep the bottom groove shut. Kyle
took his time and finished second behind Mawhinney. The top four were inverted placing Sarah Chelberg and Jeremiah Wagner
on the front row. Rick Chelberg told me that he had instructed Sarah not to leave the bottom open, and I quickly told Kyle
to be careful and to take his time advancing to the fronthe had 10 laps. The bend axle made it harder to pass on the outside.
At the green flag Mawhinney takes the outside to pass Wagner and Chelberg, Kyle gets stuck behind, but sees a opening on the
bottom going into turn 1, its tight he hits the rumble strips and he pushes slightly up the track as Sarah closes the door
while Kyle car is there she clip the front end, end her tires just pull her right over the hoodthe speed of the two cars push
her over onto her roof, Kyle slides up and around, as Sarah car flips back to its wheels. Brandon Oxborrow with nowhere to
go clips Kyle front end ripping hood of the car. The race is red flagged, but everyone check out OK. Chelberg is out, we try
to reset the toe on the car, and send Kyle back out. But after one lap he gets black flagged for having a loose door panel.
We get the fifth spot. It was a stupid move, and Kyle should have had patience, but I also must admit that its wrong to teach
your kids that blocking is OK, especially when the parent admits to it among competitors.
We
are glad everyone is OK, after an expensive lessonthe new paint job is history.
Saturday Victory #2 is a sweet deal. |

Second Saturday victory!!!
It is not sure if it was the new look, the new paint job, but it looked good under the lights,
and Kyle took his second consecutive Saturday win, making it a total of 8 victories this season. Kyle remains on the top of
the points for the Bullring Championship."The season is going well for us", said Kyle's father, "we have learned so much since
last year and it really shows in the races. Sometimes we wish we had a small track in our back yard so we could fine tune
the set up, but other than trying to get a little more speed out of the car so we can stay with Mawhinney, we are very content."
Looks like the team is on a roll.
July 22,2003 A NEW LOOK!
After several weeks of drafts, color choices, and inhaling spraypaint we have come to the unveiling
of the new paintscheme for the #71 Bandolero for the remainder of the 2003 season. We retained the black and neon Red which
have become somewhat of a trademark, and embellished it with some color choices by the driver; metallic dark blue and Yellow.
"We have to admit it looked a little like Scotty Gafforini before RCDecals put the finishing touch to it", says Peter Huender,
" We like to thank 7-Eleven's Bill Lambert for the Decals, and Rick Cobb and Shawn of RC Decals for the labor. It looks great."
On Friday July 25th the Bandoleros will return for the INEX race, and Saturday the Bandos return
for the track championship, winning the last race before the break has placed Kyle back in the lead.

Summer Break!
Las Vegas Motor Speedway was very considerate to throw a break in the racing action when things are
getting hot in the Desert. No racing for a whole months gives all drivers a chance to recuperate...some give their car a overhaul,
while other die hards travel out of town to continue the action. At LVRacing 71 Motorsports we decided to take a family vacation,
and since our car looked the most beat up next to the other bandoleros we decided to get a new paint scheme. Be on the look
out for pictures we will post them soon.
THere is some racing in California, and the Bandolero Nationals are coming up in July at Disneyworld,
although it sounds like a fun to race and see Mickey, I find the weeklong drive back and forth a real drag, so we decided
that the Nationals are not for us. Instead we will focus on winning the Bullring Championship, which if we keep the car running
well is quite a posibility.
Kyle remains in the top points in Track points and also INEX points, however the break will give
plenty of other contenders a chance to catch up.
Next race is July 26th.
SATURDAY WIN!!!!!! YEAH!
It finally happened, Kyle first saturday win in front of the spectators. On Saturday June 14 Kyle
had finished thrid in the Heat race, and the three car invert placed him on the pole. Connor Kassik very quick since repairs
after the crash two weeks ago, took the lead, but Kyle shot to the outside amd passed him, quickly closing the door, and remained
there for the entire race. Jonathan Mawhinney the car to beat for months now, developed a problem with he starter, enhancing
Kyle's opportunity for a long awaited Saturday win. Kyle also finished 2nd on Friday, so we had a very good week. The Bandoleros
will have downtime from Saturday races till July 26th. VACATION TIME!
Kyle congratulated his Mom and Dad, and Sponsors, and also thanked the dads of all the other drivers
that helped him out, and it is so true, I cant give enough thanks to all the people who helped us out along the way.
YEAH KYLE !!!!!
Crash causes bad finishes for Kyle
After winning the race on Friday night things looked good for Kyle the weekend of May 30 and 31st.
However in the heat race saturday while battling for second with Connor Kassik, the cars touched coming out of turn 1, and
then hooked bumpers, Connor crashed hard into the wall, while Kyle was able to recover and finish the race in 3rd. However
the car had a bend spindle, rubbing tire, and the front end was out of alignment, and we were unable to fix it before the
Main. Kyle raced several laps, but he pulled of when the right tire went down. He finshed fourth losing lots of points, and
a chance for the win. Had he finshed second he would have won the race..as Jonathan Mawhinney was DQ'd for jumping the start.
Rookie Jeremiah Wagner won the race.
Plenty of problems end Kyles reign.
May 23-24,2003
After last weeks Friday night win, the trouble started for Kyles car. After clocking
in at some of his fastest laps ever, Kyle seemed to have the car to beat. He ran a strong race, but the last two laps his
car started to hesitate, and slow down. Figuring he was not getting enough fuel we invested in a new fuel pump and with some
new set up tips we hoped the weekend of May 23-24 would be a strong finish, even a first Saturday night win. Well Friday night
May 23rd, right away proved that the problem was something other than the fuel pump. His car was way under power,
and we tried another fuel pump, and we shortened the fuel hose with that he was able to race the INEX points race under half
throttle, and finish third. During the main the car kept getting slower, and the question came up if the engine was giving
up.
Having an additional engine in the original 71 car, which was only six month old we
changed engines Saturday morning, a five-hour job. Unfortunately the big change only made it worsehis car stalled and could
not re-fire so he was towed on the long rope behind the Jerr-Dan Wrecker. We changed the fuel pump once more, and fuel filter,
and again the car stalled in practice. We were running out of options. We had a vacuum leak, or a power lock, or debris in
the fuel cell. Options, change all the hoses, and or change and clean the fuel cell. Both required more time than we had for
the Heat race, we settled for trying to drive a few laps and pull off. Kyle had the pole, and quickly dropped back to midpack,
but curiously he remained there under full power, then his car started smokingmore and more. But he remained under full power,
so blowing an engine was not an issue, we had oil leaking onto a hot engine.
Kyle finished fourth in the heat, a breather hose had worked itself loose from the
air filter, after too high an oil pressure (too much oil) had build up. And it had sprayed oil over the engine. Oil temp was
way up too. With the help of Kevin Terrel and his friend Tad we redirected the hose to the Oil overflow, took the breather
of and replaced it with a rag, to increase suction. (We should have drained some oil)
An invert put Kyle back on the front row, and he quickly took the lead in the main
and held on for 7 laps, but then we started to see smoke again and the car slowed some, Jonathan Mawhinney had been on Kyles
tail took the advantage, and passed Kyle. Coming out of turn two on lap 9 Kyle backend got loose as he got some of his oil
on his tire, but he saved it in a great countermove, but on the last lap, in the same spot he was not that lucky. This time
he spun while in second, and lost two spot trying to get back under way. A great race, and a great turn on some initial problems
in the engine, that somehow fixed themselves, give or take a little smoke.
Jonathan Mawhinney won both events, making him the new track points leader, while runner
up Sarah Chelberg had problems with a very loose car, that spun several times. Kyle takes second, while retaining the lead
in the INEX points.
Weekend of May 16-17.
Just checked the 600 racing website, and Kyle is in the top spot. #1 in the Nation, of course we are very proud of him
but things change very quick in the INEX points. But great to see his name at the top. But we have to work harder at getting
the car faster, because the challenge is on by Jonathan Mawhinney. We have an INEX race on Friday...no Saturday Bullring race.
Weekend of May 9 and 10th.
Kyle's car is still fast, but Sarah Chelberg is way faster, and Jonathan Mawhinney seems to have fixed his problem with
loosing power after fast moves through the field. I increased the tire pressure, and we gained some speed, but Chelberg is
hitting the high 20 second mark. And crashing her car into the war hard did little to slow her down. Will try some different
gears 14-63, and maybe some more tire pressure. well see. Kyle remains on top in the points but they are closing in.
The weekend of May 2 and 3rd.
Kyle won the race on friday, and was strong on Saturday, but could not get past the visiting Murphy brothers, Austin
and Broc. Eric Chelberg's little sister Sarah is showing great potential. And Jonathan Mawhinney will be very strong once
he has the bugs worked out.
Kyle receives lots of help, car gets fixed in time to post a win and a second.
Friday April 25, Kyle had a fast practice, but then lost power during the INEX points race. Kyle
pulled off, unable to finish the race. We changed fuel filter and pump figuring it was not getting enough fuel. But it was
only part of the problem. Quick thinking by Rick Chelberg, and some manouvering of hoses, and carburators, jets and more we
managed to get the car going with five minutes to go before the heat race on saturday. With the helpof the fathers of competitors
like Chelberg, Kassik, and Terrell we were able to win the heat. and place second in the main. We like to thank all those
that helped us to get ready, and fast.
INEX and Bullring Race Season has started.
The race season has started for the National INEX points and the Bullring Track points will begin
on April 26. Kyle so far has driven to races at the Bullring and scored his first win on April 18th, 2003. The field was very
small, but he drove the recently acquired car of Josh Gross to almost a full lap victory over runner up Connor Kassik. The
first race Kyle came second behind Jonathan Mawhinney, after Kyle's car was not set up correctly for the Oval track and kept
wanting to sping out. In the coming months we will see a new paint scheme for the 71 car.
LVRacing Expands to two cars!
LVRacing just bought the #8 car of Josh Gross. Josh will be stepping up to the Legends in May when
he turns 12, and is ready for the move up after 4 years in the Bandoleros. Josh has continuously been a strong prescence on
the track, and we may not rule out that he may make guest appearances. The need to expand to two cars comes with the expanded
race schedule this year from the 22 races last bullring season to 34 this year. "The Bullring will have events allmost every
weekend, and it will be a strain to keep the car going and in top condition", said Car owner/crew chief/Mechanic Peter Huender,
"especially if something goes wrong on the car, or gets wrecked, it is nice to have something to fall back on, for parts,
etc. Josh's car has been a strong performer, and we hope we can run up front with it as well."
